First Punk Rock band you ever saw Live? Where/when?

Milano 1998, Nashville Pussy. That was the beginning of a new musical revelation to me.

First Punk Rock Record you bought? What made you buy it?

Discharge "Hear Nothing See Nothing Say Nothing"

Favourite Venue to play in? US or abroad.

The Three Links in Deep Hellum, Dallas TX is our favorite since the first time we played there. It's like family to us.

Favorite band(s) to share the stage with?

It's always a pleasure to share the stage with many bands we are friends with like MDC, D.O.A., The Dwarves, The Adolescents and many more but we do like when we share the stage with new bands as well 'cause it's always interesting to listen to new sounds and new musical ideas.

Greatest Punk Rock album ever released?

1983 Bad Brains' "Rock for Light"

Influences?

I usually don't like it when I get this question but yes, we really listen to many kind of different music styles. From punk to soul, from 70s funk to thrash-metal and we tend to put many elements of what we listen in our compositions, especially the new album will probably sounds "unusual".

Any new bands impressed you and worth a shout out?

Once we play in the US with Piñata Protest, an Hispanic band from Texas. Great energy and stage presence from all the band for sure.

What’s the future look like for you and The Svetlanas?

Brilliant! During this forced pause we have built our own recording, mixing and mastering studio. We have founded a cultural association (SVETS MC) to spread our own experience to the youngest and save them from apathy and trap music ;-)
We are working at a new album and recording various live concerts from our studio. When it will be possible to go back on the road we will have a lot to propose to our audience and sincerely, we can't wait!

Where does the name come from?

From Svetlana tubes! During the second world war the used this brand of tubes in radars of combat airplanes. Funny thing is the were build in Russia and the quality control was made in the US. Nowadays they are good tubes used for amps.

What is the craziest, most memorable thing which happened

on Tour?

Do you want to know about that time when someone used us and our van, without our knowledge, to transport drugs or when we were persecuted by the Nazis in the USA?

Otherwise I could tell you about when they invited us to Charles Manson's Spahn Ranch.

I guess you all have to wait for our book to be out.... We have no deadline for this project but it's something that sooner or later we will have to write because we have SO MANY incredible stories that have happened during our tours.

What do you dislike?

The most? Nazis.

Other interests apart from Music?

From numerology to sound recording, from video shooting to bbq competitions. LOL each of us have many. Cheers!
